I believe in upholding high standards with an absolute commitment to strive understand and improve the education process using team strategies while wholly centering on student achievement.

As the principal of the school I am highly impressed by the commitment of the school and the staff to the provision of an excellent all- round education for our students. As a team, working together, we strongly promote academic achievement among our students the cultural, sporting and other success of all at our students and staff are also proudly celebrated together.

Wholesome participation is encouraged in the extensive range of extra- curricular activities on offer and care is also taken to ensure Well- being and happiness of each and every student in the school.

Over the years the institution has proved that the students with opportunities to explore and grow through situations, that challenge them to identify their strengths and reinforce them. Our staff fruitfully employ two diverse strategies that are of love and logic to foster a positive learning environment for all our students, love and logic may seem like two contrasting forces while love helps nurture trusting relationship, where students feel respected, appreciated and loved by the teachers Logic helps develop in students’ personal responsibilities self-control, good decision making skills self-confidence and stronger character building with high moral values.

HISTORY

York International School Kadawatha (YISK) is situated at No: 662, Bandarawatha Road, Kadawatha, commenced on 14th September 2011. We have classes held for students from Pre-school right through to A/Ls. (National Curriculum).

About York Kadawatha

York International School Kadawatha is in a unique position to help students to prepare the next step of their learning pathway. For those who need special help with their English language skills, our ESOL program moves them through different stages of English language fluency.

In order for students to gain the necessary courses and marks for admission, our guidance counselors develop individualized educational plans that are unique for each student. Once these plans are established, students are then given focused and enhanced learning activities allowing them to utilize their personal learning styles in gaining the necessary knowledge and skills for higher levels of education.

Sports

York Kadawatha has a range of facilities of their own auditorium, cricket net, basketball court, badminton court, table tennis arena, etc.

The demand for sporting activities at Our Kadawatha branch is increasing heavily. York Kadawatha offers a range of sports such as Cricket, Basketball, Badminton, Chess, etc.
